Account Deletion
Effective Date: April 22, 2025
If you wish to have your account and all associated information deleted, there are two methods: directly within the Open Road app (recommended) or via email.
In-App Account Deletion Process
- Open the Open Road app on your device.
- On the Home Page, tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) located in the top-left corner.
- Here you will see two options: Login and Register.
- If you already have an account, log in using your credentials or sign in using your Google, Facebook, or Apple accounts.

- After logging in, you will enter the application home page.
- At the bottom of the screen, there are five icons:
- Home
- Trip Management
- Travel Story
- Manage Download
- Profile
- Tap the Profile icon.

- On the Profile page, you will see your basic user information and a Delete Account button.

- Tap the Delete Account button. A confirmation pop-up will appear with two options: Confirm and Cancel.
- Select Yes to permanently delete your account and all related data from the app.

- Once deleted, you will no longer be able to log in or reset your password.
To delete via email:
In your email message, include the following information:
- Subject line: Delete my account
- Name: (The name you used when you registered the account)
- Email Address: (The email you used when you registered the account)

Please note that account deletion via email is a manual process handled by our support team, so it may take additional time to complete. We will notify you via email reply once the deletion is completed.
Note: Your Travel Story data may be retained for audit and security purposes, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

SMS Messaging Consent and its relationship to account deletion:
For clarity and A2P 10DLC campaign compliance, when an account is deleted using either of the above methods we assume you have withdrawn consent for SMS messages.
In simpler terms, if you don't have an account, we don't send you SMS messages.
